Accounting  

The Accounting Standards Committee needs to remain in contact with FASB, AICPA and other standards-setting organizations and reviews how their actions impact our industries. [view members]

 

BCCA

The BCCA committee provides support and information on credit and collections topics of interest to BCCA members.  This committee oversees production of the BCCA track at the Annual Conference as well as providing Distance Learning Seminar tropics, suggesting updates to the BCCA Credit Handbook, and article for The Financial Manager magazine. Membership to this committee is not open to BCFM Associate members, all other membership types, as well as, BCCA members are eligible to join this committee. [view members]

 

Cable

The Cable Committee’s purpose is to promote the interaction of financial managers in the cable operations and cable programming communities.  This committee also provides a forum for issues facing the industry and helps BCFM serve the industry through education, instruction and communications.[view members]

 

HR & Education

The Human Resources Committee offers information and support in all areas of personnel, including but not limited to: government regulations, employee benefits, hiring practices, policies and procedures, etc. The information is disseminated through articles in The Financial Manager Magazine and annual conference sessions. The Industry Education Committee functions through affiliation and participation in Broadcast Industry Associations to, (1) develop financial and accounting skills of broadcasters through participation on seminar/convention panels, university presentations, and (2) publish and disseminate written materials for use outside of the BCFM Membership. Information Technology/New Media

The Information Technology Committee provides and educates BCFM members with timely, updated information corresponding to industry information systems & traffic departments (i.e. functions, responsibilities, etc.) and/or systems.  The New Media Committee serves as a focal-point for members to gather information on new new/entertainment delivery systems (media) so members are able to utilize them more efficiently.[view members]

 

Membership Marketing, Promotion & Services

The Membership, Marketing and Promotion Committee work to promote the value of membership in BCFM for TV, radio and cable financial professionals as well as to associate members. The Member Services Committee’s purpose is to identify and develop strategic alliances with corporate vendors to provide members with quality discounted programs/services as well as to evaluate existing member services with an eye toward creating opportunities for additional membership value.  [view members]

 

Radio  

The Radio Committee provides a forum for issues facing the radio industry and helps BCFM serve that industry through education, instruction and communications. [view members]

 

Tax Advisory  

The Tax Committee's purpose is to inform NAB, NCTA and The State Association on taxation and to be a watch dog for adverse tax legislation. [view members]

 

Television

The Television Committee educates our members and our industry about television and cable programming and technology and provides a forum for issues facing that industry.[view members]

 

TFM Advisory Committee

          This board works with The Financial Manager’s editor as well as with the other BCFM/BCCA committees to solicit stories of interest to members, to review articles as appropriate, and to provide editorial direction for this highly-valued magazine.[view members]
